While fashion-forward fellows like Jon Bon Jovi and James Franco attended last night’s 26th Annual Night Of Stars in NYC, we couldn’t help but notice all the famous ladies flying solo for Fashion Group International’s prestigous award ceremony. Emmy Rossum was there without Adam Duritz, Gwen Stefani without Gavin Rossdale, and even Iman left David Bowie at home. Dita Von Teese and Evan Rachel Wood—Marilyn Manson’s ex-wife and the then-teeanger he left her for—managed to hit the carpet without making it any redder. Not many people could pull off blue eyeshadow, but leave it to fashion forward Gwen Stefani who brought back the 80s trend last night when she appeared at a Fashion’s Night Out Bloomingdales event. Gwen kept with what seems to be the all-black trend at this Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, but added her own stylish twist with some black, green, and yellow platform sandals. If we could be any celebrity kid it would probably be Kingston. Not only does he have rad rocker rents, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, but the kid is rockin’ a pretty fierce hair style. Maddox Jolie-Pitt better watch out because Kingston is giving him a run for his money. When No Doubt first exploded onto the music scene in 1995, leader singer Gwen Stefani flaunted a fashion sense that was part punk, part ska, a bit hip-hop and totally her own. She sported henna tattoos on her hands and rocked bindis in between her eyes, with her pink hair twisted in a mound of knots on her head. She made a name for herself for singing her heart out while bouncing around onstage and for flaunting her ripped abs every chance she got.

After a bout with braces brought her fabulousness to a stand-still, Gwen transformed from a rocker chick to super chic. She released a hit solo album that celebrated her obsession with Japan’s fashion freaks, the harajuku girls, and launched her still successful clothing line, L.A.M.B. Even though Gwen’s current look is more SoHo than SoCal, her style remains strictly her own.
