Looks like Jennifer Aniston isn’t the only actress who’s “fun, flirty and 40!” Jennifer Lopez wore a low-cut, strapless Louis Vitton mini-dress to make up artist Scott Barnes‘ About Face launch party last night, taking a sharp left from the sexy skin-tight full body jumpsuit she wore on New Year’s Eve (not to mention that striped tent she wore last month). She may or may not have deserved an Oscar for El Cantante, but this mother of two is definitely still a Fly Girl.

Short is the name of the game, judging from the red carpet looks of Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez. Both divas went for thigh-high dresses to show off their gams, with strategically cut out neck and shoulder detail, but where Beyoncé opted to stand out in fire engine red, J. Lo went for soft and satiny earth tones.  There are certain elements of both dresses that we’re not loving - B, what’s up with the kangaroo pouch? Jenny, whats the deal with your criss-crossing baggy sleeves? But what do you think, are they rocking the short look, or should they have kept looking for dresses without so much bunching?

This crazy recession takes no A-list prisoners, ya know — and Jennifer Lopez has become the latest victim of the worldwide credit crunch. Her fashion and accessories line Sweetface has gone “on hiatus,” which means for the first time since 2001 the diva has no clothing range on sale in the U.S.

“In light of new company strategies, we have decided to put the Sweetface line on hiatus while we prepare to reintroduce the brand in the near future with new messaging points and an entirely new fashion point of view,” her company statement said. Translation: We’re not selling anything! Help!

Still, J.Lo herself, who was a pioneer of the celebrity brand extension with her perfumes and fashion ranges, hasn’t let the news publicly affect her.
